This year, Wine and Dresses took our mission to a whole new level—London! With four pink suitcases packed full of dresses for donation, we set off on our third global trip, filled with excitement, purpose, and a sense of adventure.
Our journey began with a brief layover in Iceland, and, of course, we couldn’t resist trying the famous Icelandic Hot Dog. The unexpected detour gave us the perfect chance to experience a bit of Icelandic culture before continuing on our way to London.
Day one in London was nothing short of spectacular. We kicked things off with a visit to one of the city’s culinary gems—Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant. The traditional Bangers and Mash was absolutely phenomenal, and it set the tone for an unforgettable stay. After indulging in some amazing food, we wrapped up the day with a visit to the iconic London Eye, taking in breathtaking views of the city.
The next few days were packed with incredible sightseeing. We made a stop at Windsor Castle, where we marveled at the rich history and stunning architecture. From there, we visited the mystical and ancient Stonehenge, a site that never fails to leave an impression with its sheer magnitude and mystery.
But the real heart of our trip came when we arrived at our delivery day, where we had the honor of donating 115 business dresses to Sistah Space Against Domestic Abuse, a remarkable organization that supports women affected by domestic abuse. Meeting the incredible women behind this organization and seeing firsthand the impact of their work was truly the highlight of our entire trip. The experience was a powerful reminder of the importance of uplifting women globally and providing them with the resources and support they need to thrive.
As our journey began to wind down, we made one last stop to the iconic London Bridge and Tower Bridge, reflecting on the unforgettable experiences we had along the way. The trip may have been bittersweet as we headed home, but it was a wonderful reminder of how far we’ve come and how much we’re able to accomplish with the support of our community.
This trip to London was our third global adventure, and we’re so proud of the impact we’ve been able to make through our mission. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We can’t wait for the next journey—there’s so much more work to be done, and we’re just getting started!
